Landing my spin

Last night I returned for my second pole dancing at Allure‘s Ladera studio. I continue to be amazed about how accepting people are. I initially thought I would be nervous spining, sliding, and strutting in a room of strangers, but everyone is really friendly.  When one girl comments that she doesn’t want to be Megan anymore as there are too many of them, immediately all the other girls jump in with new dancing aliases.  You can be whoever you want to be.  While I still can’t do the splits, I am feeling more flexible. I am loosening my death grip on the pole and learning to land on my feet.  I also much prefer spinning clockwise, a habit I will have to break before I get too dizzy.
